Subly — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

The short version

Subly is a subscription tracker made by GoDevLab. The subscriptions you add stay on your device — there are no accounts and no sign-in, and we run no servers that store your data. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects a limited amount of data (such as your device's advertising identifier) to display and measure them. Subly Pro removes ads. The details are below.

Information we collect

Your subscription data stays on your device. The subscriptions you add and your preferences (currency, reminders, appearance) are stored locally on your phone. We have no servers and no user database, and we never ask for your name, email, or a login.

To show ads in the free version, our advertising partner Google AdMobautomatically collects limited data, including your device's advertising identifier, app-interaction and crash/diagnostic data, and approximate (coarse) location derived from your IP address. This is used to serve and measure ads. Buying Subly Pro removes ads.

How your data is stored

All app data is saved in local storage on your device only. It is never uploaded to us — we have no servers and no user database. Uninstalling the app removes this data from your device.

Notifications

Renewal reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are not sent through any server and require your permission, which you can revoke at any time in your system settings.

Exporting your data

When you export a CSV, the file is created on your device and shared only with the app you choose from your operating system's share sheet. We never receive a copy.

Purchases

The one-time "Subly Pro" unlock is processed by the Apple App Store and Google Play, with RevenueCat providing the purchase infrastructure. RevenueCat and the app stores process purchase and receipt data under their own privacy policies (see RevenueCat's privacy policy). We receive only an anonymous "owns Pro / doesn't" signal — no payment details and no personal identity.

Third-party services

We rely on these third parties only for the purposes above:

  • Apple App Store & Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchases
  • RevenueCat — validating and restoring your one-time purchase
  • Google AdMob — serving and measuring ads in the free version

Advertising

The free version of Subly shows ads using Google AdMob. To do this, Google collects and processes your device's advertising identifier and related data to display and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted.

Your choices: on iOS we ask your permission (App Tracking Transparency) before using your advertising identifier for personalized ads — if you decline, you'll still see ads, just non-personalized ones. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization in your device settings. You can remove ads entirely with the one-time Subly Pro purchase.

Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising policies. We do not use any separate analytics SDK.

Children's privacy

Subly is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Ads shown in the free version are not directed to children.

Your rights

Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it: you can edit or delete any entry in the app, and deleting the app removes all of it. If you have questions about your data under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, contact us at the email below.

Data retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We do not retain it anywhere else.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
